Some treatment to manage and treat your spinal chord injury may involve:

Nerve blockades and other anesthesia Injections - Patients with spinal chord pain may be treated with any of several types of regional anesthetic techniques, including: facet blocks, epidural blocks, trigger point injections, botulinum toxin injections, nerve blocks and neurolytic blocks . Some procedures may be performed under x-ray guidance.

Medication management - Patients which spinal chord injury pain may receive analgesics and other medications for symptoms associated with a pain condition (e.g., depression). Patients who are placed on potentially habit-forming medications may be expected to comply with a written treatment contract that stipulates the conditions by which those medications will be prescribed.
